  • User account information (name, email, hashed password) is also stored in localStorage — entirely client-side.

👤 Account Information

If you choose to create an account, we store the following information locally in your browser only:

  • Your display name
  • Your email address
  • A hashed version of your password (never stored in plain text)

This information is never transmitted to any external server.

🔗 Shared Links

When you use the Custom URL or Share link features, your draft content is encoded directly into the URL itself. Content travels within the link — no server is involved. Be mindful of what you include in shared links.

QuickDraft does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics services. The only browser storage we use is localStorage, essential for saving drafts and session state.

I lost my draft after clearing my browser. Can I recover it?
Unfortunately no — since data lives in localStorage, clearing browser data removes it. Use the Export feature regularly.
