🔒 Our Commitment to Privacy
At QuickDraft, your privacy is our top priority. We built this tool with a privacy-first philosophy: your writing stays on your device, not on our servers.
📦 Data Storage
QuickDraft stores data exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This means:
- Your drafts are saved locally on your device only.
- Clearing your browser data or cache will remove your saved drafts.
- No data is ever sent to or stored on QuickDraft's servers.
- User account information (name, email, hashed password) is also stored in localStorage — entirely client-side.
👤 Account Information
If you choose to create an account, we store the following information locally in your browser only:
- Your display name
- Your email address
- A hashed version of your password (never stored in plain text)
This information is never transmitted to any external server.
🔗 Shared Links
When you use the Custom URL or Share link features, your draft content is encoded directly into the URL itself. Content travels within the link — no server is involved. Be mindful of what you include in shared links.
📊 Analytics & Cookies
QuickDraft does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics services. The only browser storage we use is localStorage, essential for saving drafts and session state.
